Sazerac

Sazerac
· old fashioned, chilled, absinthe rinse
½ t. sugar (1 cube, or 1 t. simple syrup)
water
2 ½ rye whiskey
2 dashes Peychaud’s bitters
1 dash Angostura bitters
– lemon peel
In a mixing glass (or old fashioned), muddle sugar with a few drops of water. Add ice, whiskey, and bitters. Stir well and strain.
